Narrow house concept
Customer home – Plan E 15-150.2
A solution for awkward building plots that allowed the Garatwa-Weimer family of four to realise their dream home spread over three floors: the teenage children have their own bathroom upstairs, the family area is downstairs while the parents have a private retreat in the basement. “Our house has just as much to offer as a large one, we have even hosted big family get-togethers with loads of guests without problems". Irrespective of whether the size or dimensions of a plot are awkward, if it is on a hill or close to the street, even the most problematic building plot locations can be overcome. This was the case for this undersized left-over plot for which a narrow home concept was devised. White render and slate-grey window frames combined with a timber facade in an opaque timber shade give this house an unmistakably contemporary feel.
